And the Angel Came Down and Said . . .

Hey fellow bloggers, I'm on here because I don't have much else to do since I can't speak. Why can't I talk did you ask? Well, I was chosen over many to offer incense to God in the temple. While I was presenting God with the incense, an angel came down to me. I was scared out of my robes! His name was Gabriel. He came to tell me that my wife, Elizabeth, who had been barron for many years, would give birth to a son. I was speechless but in my head i had many questions. Gabriel told me that my son was to be named John. Now me being at this wise old age of 69, I felt I had enough knowledge to know that it wasn't possible for Elizabeth to get pregnant, let alone give birth. Unfortunately, my arrogance got to me and I was struck dumb, unable to speak. Atleast not until the prophecy is fulfilled. Now my wife is pregnant and needs as much comfort and support I can give her, but I'm unable to use my voice to soothe her. It's beyond difficult. My apologies go to the Lord Almightey for my unfaithfulness. I shall never doubt you again.

  1. Zechariah, honey. I know that this is very frustrating, for you and me both, but if it helps Gabriel came to me also! I was scared, but I knew that God would take good care of John and me. Even though your arrogance got the best of you, I know the Lord will forgive you, some way, some how. Just keep strong and put all your faith in God; He won't let you fall.

    Love,
    Elizabeth
