I Looked Into His Eyes and Saw His Life Before He Could Even Take His Next Breath . .

There is something inside of me. Maybe it's hope, maybe it's God, or maybe I'm just an old man going crazy. But I saw the future of my son and it was bright enough to light the night sky. My child. Elizabeth's child. Our child, would one day become a prophet of the Most High. He will prepare the way for the Messiah as the Messiah prepares the way for us. I am already of the elderly stature and I may not make it to see this fate in actuality, but I have seen it in John and soon John will see it in himself, and that is enough for me.

And Thy Name Will Be John . .

After many month, it finally became time for Elizabeth to give birth to our son and she did. I couldn't be more happy or any more faithful in the Lord. After eight days of life for our son, he was circumsized. My side of the family wanted to name him Zechariah after me and my wife was quick to tell everyone that our son was to be named John. This was a surprise to our family because none of our relatives had that name. My family then asked me what the name of our child was going to be. It was a bit inconsiderate since i was STILL MUTE! I signaled them to get me a writing pad and I simply wrote, "His name is John". Then immediately to everyone's amazement, including my own, my voice returned. I knew it was the works of the Lord. This unexpected event convinced onlookers that the love of God was with Elizabeth's our little baby and that he would be different and unique. This made the name 'John' seem appropriate and it gave him an identity of his own.
Thank you Elizabeth for being their for me when i couldn't speak for myself. They wanted to change the fate of our child's name and you stood your ground. I love you with all my heart and I love our newborn child, John.

And the Angel Came Down and Said . . .

Hey fellow bloggers, I'm on here because I don't have much else to do since I can't speak. Why can't I talk did you ask? Well, I was chosen over many to offer incense to God in the temple. While I was presenting God with the incense, an angel came down to me. I was scared out of my robes! His name was Gabriel. He came to tell me that my wife, Elizabeth, who had been barron for many years, would give birth to a son. I was speechless but in my head i had many questions. Gabriel told me that my son was to be named John. Now me being at this wise old age of 69, I felt I had enough knowledge to know that it wasn't possible for Elizabeth to get pregnant, let alone give birth. Unfortunately, my arrogance got to me and I was struck dumb, unable to speak. Atleast not until the prophecy is fulfilled. Now my wife is pregnant and needs as much comfort and support I can give her, but I'm unable to use my voice to soothe her. It's beyond difficult. My apologies go to the Lord Almightey for my unfaithfulness. I shall never doubt you again.
